Kellie Martin, an American TV and film actress best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama''Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Also, Kellie is well-known as the main character in the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and a kindergarten instructor. Her first acting experience was in the age of seven when her aunt, a nanny in Michael Landon's family, helped Martin to be in the 1982 television series Father Murphy. Martin began her professional acting career following her graduation from Yale University. This led to her landing a variety of part-time roles in the TV and film industry. Martin was also as a dancer and photographer. Two daughters are hers and a son, she is also the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the illness each day following the passing of her sister at age 19.
